Traditional Market - Gastronomic Experience in Huanchaco

Our culinary adventure begins in a traditional Trujillos market. There, you will appreciate a wide variety of Peruvian products and groceries, and enjoy and taste exotic fruits such Chirimoya, Pacae, lucuma, etc.

Then we will head to the fishing village of Huanchaco, where we stroll around the Gastronomic Quiwish Fair, where traditional Huanchaco ladies sell some peruvians favorurites bites, like anticuchos, picarones, papa rellena, etc.

After that, we visit a prestigious restaurant located close to the pier overlooking the beach letting us get an amazing view of the sea and the little reed horses. Here guided by an experienced chef, we will learn about the ingredients and how to cook: lomo saltado, causa, the famous Ceviche and well known Pisco Sour. Besides, you will learn about some typical northern dishes like the shambar (that is served traditionally only on mondays), cabrito a la norteña, pepian de pavita, chicha morada, and the pre columbian ancient beverage "chicha de jora", etc. Later you can enjoy a delicious lunch or dinner with our very Peruvian Pisco Sour and the most emblematic dishes of the Peruvian cuisine.
